I graduated from St.Thomas' Hospital in 1990 and I've worked extensively in the NHS and the private sector. I believe in an integrated hands-on approach to physiotherapy treatment with a keen emphasis on posture, muscle imbalance and personalised exercise programmes. I have completed postgraduate training in acupuncture and may use this as part of my treatment to enhance pain relief. I am a member of the AACP. I have wide experience in treating both spinal problems and other joint issues, including sports injuries. My overall aim is to reduce your pain and restore function so that you can fully enjoy your sports and hobbies.

I moved to Kings College Hospital in London to specialise in musculoskeletal outpatients and developed an interest in movement dysfunction and muscle imbalance. I trained as a Pilates instructor and gained my acupuncture qualifications.

I continued my career at the Royal Berkshire Hospital as the team leader for spinal conditions and worked as an extended scope practitioner alongside the spinal consultant Mr Rob Marshall, in his outpatient clinic. I moved into the private sector in 2013 and now enjoy working with clients on a part-time basis, while looking after my young family.

  Rachel Davenport - Physiotherapist

Rachel Davenport
I graduated in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Wales College of Medicine. I began my career at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford as a junior physio. I then moved to Singapore to specialise in musculoskeletal outpatients working in a variety of different settings including Singapore General Hospital and a private practise specialising in core stability training.

On returning to the UK in 2005, I began working for Nuffield Health treating musculoskeletal outpatients and orthopaedic inpatients. I became the women’s health specialist physio and trained to teach Pilates. After working there for 4 years I became the integrated clinical services manager which involved managing the physio team and health assessments.

I now enjoy working part-time and feel very lucky that I can balance family and work life. With my background in Pilates and women’s health, I enjoy looking at movement dysfunctions and combing manual treatment with core stability training.
